Cohler,Deborah Assistant Professor , Department of Women's Studies, Ph.D in English Literature Her current research includes work on the intersections of feminist and queer theory and the interrelationships among gender, sexuality, race, and nationalism in twentieth-century literature and culture.

Jenkins,Mercilee Professor, Department of Speech and Communication Studies. Ph.D. in Speech Communication. She is the author of six plays, including "A Credit to her Country" a play about the treatment of lesbians in the military. In addition to Field Research and Performance Studies, Dr. Jenkins also teaches courses in Gender and Sexual Identity and Communication.

Melendez, Rita Ph.D. Associate Professor of Sexuality Studies. (Sociology, Yale, 1999). Dr. Melendez combines quantitative and qualitative methods in researching HIV issues as they relate to gender. She has worked on gender-specified HIV/ STD prevention programs, intimate partner violence, and the structural concerns of transgender people.
Moffatt, Christopher Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Biology ( Psychology, John Hopkins University 1994) and completed a NIH postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroscience and Behavior at University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1998. His currently funded research is on the regulation of reproduction by chemosensory stimuli, particularly reproductively-inhibiting pheromones (MBRS-SCORE Award). He coordinated a semester long research colloquium for eight COR and five Pre-COR students.Sociology, Yale, 1999). Dr. Melendez combines quantitative and qualitative methods in researching HIV issues as they relate to gender. She has worked on gender-specified HIV/ STD prevention programs, intimate partner violence, and the structural concerns of transgender people.
