My degree in Human Sexuality Studies helped to facilitate my understanding
of the complex nature of human sexuality. I learned to appreciate the
multiple ways in which humans understand and perform their sexual being.
I also developed a focus on actionable research designed to foster social
justice, understand healthy sexuality, and increase sexual literacy. My
work at San Francisco State University encouraged me to seek out a doctoral
degree and work to improve the state of human sexuality through research
and teaching. The Masters in Human Sexuality Studies prepared me for the
rigors of a career in academia with a focus on sexuality.
