LATHEM BONEM
Lathem
Bonem received his MA in Human Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State
University in June 2005. For his thesis, Lathem conducted a study investigating
the experiences of 121 female-to-male transgender people seeking and receiving
gynecological health care in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lathem also received
the Distinguished Graduate Student Award and was selected as the College
Hood Recipient from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Lathem
taught Introduction to Human Sexuality Studies at San Francisco State
University (Fall 2005) and has worked as a Research Technician for the
Center for Research on Gender and Sexuality (CRGS) since October 2005.
At the CRGS, Lathem assists in research projects focusing on adolescent
sexuality as part of the Health Relationships and Media Studies projects.
Lathem also co-authors journal articles on youth sexuality and transgender
health care access.
