Cohler,Deborah Assistant Professor , Department of Women's Studies, Ph.D in English Literature Her current research includes work on the intersections of feminist and queer theory and the interrelationships among gender, sexuality, race, and nationalism in twentieth-century literature and culture.

DeVries, Brian Ph.D. Professor of Gerontology. (Social Psychology, University of British Columbia, 1988). Gerontology, gay and lesbian social support, aging, death and bereavement/loss.

Fields,Jessica Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Sociology. (Sociology, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 2001). Sexuality and abstinence-only education; citizenship and contemporary "marriage initiatives"; and youth, gender, and sexuality.

Herdt,Gilbert Ph.D. Director and Professor of Human Sexuality Studies. (Anthropology, Australian National University, 1978). Cross cultural sexuality and gender, American culture, pacific societies, sexual identity development and sexuality relationships across the course of life, GLBT youth and aging, sexuality policy in the US and globally.

Jenkins,Mercilee Professor, Department of Speech and Communication Studies. Ph.D. in Speech Communication. She is the author of six plays, including "A Credit to her Country" a play about the treatment of lesbians in the military. In addition to Field Research and Performance Studies, Dr. Jenkins also teaches courses in Gender and Sexual Identity and Communication.

Melendez, Rita Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Human Sexuality Studies. (Sociology, Yale, 1999). Dr. Melendez combines quantitative and qualitative methods in researching HIV issues as they relate to gender. She has worked on gender-specified HIV/ STD prevention programs, intimate partner violence, and the structural concerns of transgender people.

Moffatt, Christopher Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Biology
, ( Psychology, John Hopkins University 1994) and completed a NIH postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroscience and Behavior at University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1998. His currently funded research is on the regulation of reproduction by chemosensory stimuli, particularly reproductively-inhibiting pheromones (MBRS-SCORE Award). He coordinated a semester long research colloquium for eight COR and five Pre-COR students.

Prinz,Philip Ph.D. Professor of Special Education. (Psycholinguistics, Boston University, 1978). Impact of language and communication on human sexuality; psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic contributions to the construction of sexual meanings and sexual well-being in Deaf, disabled, and non-disabled individuals.

Sueyoshi,Amy Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies. (History, University of California, Los Angeles, 2002). History of sexuality in the U.S. (modern period); race, ethnicity, and sexual migration.

Tolman,Deborah Ed. D. Professor of Human Sexuality Studies and Director of Research. (Human Development & Psychology, Harvard University, 1992).
Adolescent sexuality, feminist methodology, narratives of male and female development.
