David Megathlin

David Megathlin currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden where he is an MBA candidate at the Stockholm School of Economics. Previously, David lived in New York City and worked as a Senior Associate at Catalyst, a nonprofit research and advisory organization on Wall Street that works with businesses and the professions to build inclusive environments
and expand opportunities for women at work. At Catalyst, David leads research on the inclusion of LGBT employees in the workplace. He is also an adjunct professor of Sociology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.


For his thesis at SFSU, David conducted research on the social relationships of sexual minority men in Iceland and Finland. With the MA in Human Sexuality Studies, David has is able to position himself as an expert on global LGBT research. David Continues to study sexuality and culture throughout the Nordic region. In 2005, he traveled to the Faroe Islands to attend and support the region’s first pride, and to speak on his MA research.
