LoganJoaquin received his MA in Human Sexuality Studies in 2005 and is currently pursuing his second MA in Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University. His research examines the intersectionality of mixed race and LGBTQQ identities. He has presented his HMSX thesis (MixT: Transgender People of Mixed Heritages) at several national conferences and is revising his thesis for publication.

Additionally, LoganJoaquin sits on the Board of Directors for Interracial Family Pride (www.ipride.org)- an organization serving transracially adopted and mixed heritage youth and their families. He is on the steering committee for the Loving Day 2007 Conference in Chicago, commemorating the 40th anniversary of Loving vs. the State of Virginia (the case in which the US Supreme Court declared all anti-miscegenation laws unconstitutional). He also volunteers on the Speaker’s Bureau at Community United Against Violence (www.cuav.org).
