Amy
Andre |
Currently a Point Foundation Scholar at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, Amy André (SFSU class of 2004) is pursuing a nonprofit MBA, with a focus on LGBT organization management. The co-author of Bisexual Health, a book published by the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, she has essays in books such as Best Sex Writing 2008, Nobody Passes: Rejecting the Rules of Gender and Conformity, Waking Up American: Coming of Age Bi-culturally, and Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World. Her articles appear in numerous publications, including AlterNet, American Sexuality, ColorLines, Curve, and Playgirl. She is also the director of the internationally-screened transgender documentary On My Skin/ En Mi Piel. In addition, Amy lectures at numerous organizations and universities, including Planned Parenthood, UCSF Medical School, the National Sexuality Resource Center, the Lesbian Health & Research Center, the Women's Community Clinic, UCLA, and the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Amy works in the LGBT nonprofit sector, where her roles have included board service, project management, public policy development, and advocacy.
